In 1995, Tony, Joe, and Neil created a shitty band called Distortion. 10 songs were crafted in one years time before their breakup. Still remaining good friends ever since, they talked about getting the "band" back together. So, In August of 2003 Reign of Pestilence was born.

The trio played and crafted songs for 4 months and then in January of 2004 found Aaron Bernabeo for their frontman. They practiced for 4 months and then in April Bryan started learning the songs in anticipation of his graduation from Berklee in Boston. The five members played shows and wrote music for the next 6 months before Aarons departure in October of 2004.

Jon Boyd replaced Aaron. The band then wrote more music and went on to play many shows through 2005. In February 06 original bassist, Joe Matta, left Reign of Pestilence to pursue other options and Marc B took his position. In October of 2006, founding member Neil Grenier, officially left the band to pursue other options.

The R.O.P. sound is very comparable to circle pit mall metal bands. The vocals are very melodic and about human emotions. There are a plethora of sick rhythmic breakdowns, squealed Zakk Wylde style harmonics/tough guy beard weilding Heinekin pounding attitudes, and simply amazing over the back guitar tossing skills at shows. The second R.O.P. enters the human ear canal the urge to "Get a Circle Goin" cannot be reckoned with.
